2.0 - 3.0 ton Electric counterbalance

The majority of manufacturers offer machines with the brain of the truck being a modern 3-phase controller (AC) with new logic units that offer a wide range of choice for the operator that governs the traction offering no less than four levels of traction programming profiles that include personal, economy, normal & performance whilst offering three choices of lifting functions, personal, economy, performance.

Generally trucks come with a 12kw - 14kw traction motors offering significant dynamic performance compared to older models thus giving better agility due to consistent and powerful accelerations and regenerative braking, that will make mechanical brakes virtually redundant.

Our industry offers the function of forward/reverse through a lever placed on the steering column or through dual pedal. In both cases, the controller ensures a quick and soft response even with fragile loads.

Trucks now come with highly legible displays that are simplistic to use and afford the operator the opportunity to set the truck top speed according to the programme selected thus avoiding unnecessary tampering. LCD displays also show the battery charge state and the malfunction error codes for rapid corrective solution.

The operator cabin on all trucks come with an emergency button that is now accessible from outside the truck. Mainline manufacturers tend to be going away from plastic battery covers and are now offering metal covers on most models this ensure strength, durability and increased solidity.

Hydraulic controls have undergone some radical changes. Lifting is controlled through a potentiometer acting on the pump motor revolutions while reed switches monitor other functions. Result - enhanced reliability, reduction of power loss and noise emission. Joysticks are available as an option.

Masts are available with integral sideshift thus affording high residual capacities up to almost 7000mm in height. Fork visibility is excellent and high structural rigidity enables the positioning of loads very easy. Two pump motors of 12kw and 19kw ensure high performance.

In addition to these specifications, standard trucks are fitted with superelastic tyres, power assisted steering, reverse alarm, a third hydraulic valve and lever, a Grammer MSG12 seat and 4 roller fork carriages.
