Solution MHE would like to congratulate Bailey Caravans on having been chosen for a special royal visit. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived at Bristol Temple Meads in the royal train before being driven to long time Solution customer – Bailey Caravans in Ashton Vale.
The royal couple toured the factory and rode in one of the latest models of motor caravans. The Queen told driver Paul Royall how luxurious she thought the interior looked. There was a slightly nervous start to her ride in a motorhome when it rolled back a few feet before going forward, but the Queen quickly recovered and seemed genuinely interested in the latest developments in the company.
As Her Majesty left, rows of mechanics from the assembly line downed tools to cheer and wave goodbye. Mr Royall said the prince was particularly interested in how the beds folded down as it was different to bunks on naval ships.
During the tour the Queen spoke to worker Craig Dudbridge who said he had been so excited about the visit that he had hardly slept.
“She seemed very interested and asked us all lots of questions,” he said.
